The trail itself is a really nice one except the noise from the highways.

Hiking

The trail itself is good. Forest, small ascents and descents. But the route is terrible. At the end you have to walk through the golf club and then along the edge of a busy road with no sidewalk or path. And have to cross two intersections without crosswalks

This is a nice trail for the most part. If you park at the Weinberg nature center and start from there, you would do well to stick very closely to the GPS and track the map from all trails.com. Else you will get lost. Towards the end, there is no graceful way to get back to the parking at the Weinberg nature center. One reviewer said they had to walk on the hutch parkway. We had to walk across the Saxon woods golf course and then on mamaroneck road. So great trail, but the last 3/4 of the mile end the hike on a low note.

This is a nice trail. However, if you are starting at the Weinberg nature center, you really should stick to the GPS and track the map from alltrails.com at every step else you will get lost. Towards the end, there is no graceful way back to the parking at the Weinberg nature center. Somebody else said they had to walk on the Hutchinson River parkway. We had to walk across the Saxon woods golf course, and then on Mamaroneck Rd for 3/4 of a mile to get back. Great hike, just ends poorly.

This trail is longer than 4.6 miles. There are no trail markers. It’s a beautiful trail and it's not hard to complete. A you can get lost easily. I am only giving it 4 stars because there are no trail markers.

Some of the tracking is off. Great long trail in the wilderness.

loved the 1st 4 miles of this trail. the last mile egressed on a golf course and required a walk across the Hutchinson's entrance and exit ramp. little bit of a let down.

First to Review

An easy and versatile trail run/hike/walk with the family. Inclines are slight amidst a beautiful arbor scenic woods. This part of the trail is a part of the Colonial and Saxon Woods trail system and is usually popular and trafficked over the weekends.
