I did a 22 mile round trip from New Paltz to north of Rosendale. Nice flat ride but one bridge was blocked and parts were muddy. The best part was the Rosendale trestle which has nice views.

Went from Kingston to New Paltz. Great ride with some excellent views and old mines and rock formations.

I took the trail from New Paltz to Rosendale. The trail was a mixture of pavement, gravel, and dirt. There is a a really nice bridge that gives you a great view of the Walkill river. It is a nice easy flat ride for biking or walking.

Pleasant trail mostly flat gravel/cinder trail with some gentle incline/declines. Some small "off trail" side paths available to explore with access to the wallkill river. Great trail with little kids. Accessible to power wheel chairs NOT manual - the small wheels get stuck in the gravel. Fun for easy snow shoeing / xcountry skiing. Trail goes into village of New Paltz which is a great pitstop for a snack and a warm up before you head out again.
