Hamptonburgh Preserve comprises more than 200 acres of rolling wildflower fields, floodplain forest, and wetlands and features a regularly-mowed recreational trail. The preserve is owned and managed by the Orange County Land Trust. Note: Visitors should use caution during the Fall hunting season as a portion of the preserve is accessible to hunters by special-permit only.

Decided to take a walk here today. This was one of the worst trails that we have been on this year. For the most part, the trail itself - footing, width, etc., was ok. However, it was quite boring at this time of year, and the ending at the river was a disappointment. We will probably not do this one again.
