One of the best spots to do your long run for trails on the island in my opinion. The red and green are wide road, blue is single track. This is pretty challenging with about 60% being sandy footing, the rest packed dirt, a small stretch of rocks in the start of the green trail. Some nice hills, small but numerous, will test your quads.
They have a porta-potty in the parking lot, BUT they lock it when the car gate is locked. There is no security there so put all bags in the trunk !
Can do combos of the 3 trails for any distances, or try the north/south yellow single track for variety.

First time hiking this trail. Took the green trail. The sign at the trailhead says 5.3 miles. My tracker said 4.9. Fairly flat, a couple of rolling hills. There is a good amount of sand to walk through, sometimes uphill. I started at 1:30pm (Saturday) and was the only one there. Did pass a woman on horseback, though. There are a couple of small ponds along the way, one of which was almost dried up. Overall it was a good hike.

The parking lot is only open on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm. Don't get locked in!!!

Sand in the middle of the woods. Some good little hills. Free. Watch out for crazies riding around on quads.
