Nice short walk in the woods, with one brief climb at the beginning. The marked town trails connect to an unmarked system that goes onto Glens Falls watershed property around Butler Storage Reservoir, and used to lead to a nice climb to an overlook known as “The Rock” off the north end of the loop. "The Rock" overlook is officially off limits. There are many 'No Trespassing' warning signs posted & a trail camera. Otherwise, it's a nice walk in the woods. This trail system is fairly heavily used on weekends.

Short and sweet. 1/18/21 Doable in boots, but spikes would have improved the experience. Great for doggos. Little bit of a view at the back end, but otherwise just a nice jaunt through the trees.

this is the only trail I've rated one star so far. there are posted signs all over the top loop leading to the summit for some ungodly reason. no good views. irresponsible dog owners with dogs off leash.

HikingGreat!Rocky

If you like the tranquility the woods has to offer & a quick workout, this is a perfect hike/trail. It’s a gradual incline to the top of the loop. Lots of loose rocks, rocks and tree roots. The trail is completely shaded. I saw one other gentleman at the beginning. Nice breeze, no bugs. The trail is marked with a red trail marker, some trees are spray painted with a red dot. Well, marked and easily seen. Some reviews state there’s not a lot to look at, then enjoy the sounds of nature, the peace & quiet the woods have to offer.

Love this trail. It was just long enough with some great things to look at and easy enough for sneakers and the dog! Enjoy.

HikingGreat!

I have started training to hike all 46 high peaks and this little trek is perfect for getting in a good bit of elevation. While not long you will certainly get your work out in the 2+ mile trail. I live very close and plan to make this a weekly stop.

This trail has no views, but is a nice walk through the woods. Takes about 40 minutes to complete. It gets steep at points, a good beginners hike.

I am not sure if we started out going in the "wrong direction", but the description did not match our reality. We went right to begin the loop and found ourselves climbing for quite awhile. Seemed like a pretty continuous climb, with no switchbacks to break it up. The descent was around 1.25 miles and pretty steep and rocky going down. Not bad, but not a beginner's hike. Pretty limited on views.

Nice loop hike. A few steeper sections on uneven ground. I did not find any view on the marked trail. However, nice walk in the woods. Good with kids and dogs.

Good hike for kids and dogs. Not much of a view payoff that we found but still nice and no mud.

Well marked trail. we had our pooch with us and she thoroughly enjoyed it too. Short but gives you a good workout. Thought about running it but we didn't have our microspikes. The snow was slushy. We did see someone running with microspikes and regretted not bringing ours ha.

Good hike. Got my cardio up!! It’s a moderate trail. Rocks are very tricky and there’s a lot of them. It gets steep in some places, Legs felt like jelly!!! But I def don’t hike a lot. All in all a good hike.

Great hike. Ground is very uneven at times so if you have bad ankles I would suggest boots, but nothing to drastic.

It was a good hike. Wish there was a bit more of a view on it though. Even though it's easy I still wouldn't recommend as a first hike because there are parts of the trail that aren't clearly marked and it could be easy too get lost if you dont know what your looking at or have a gps. Other than that great hike.
