When you're by the bridge it's absolutely beautiful. However, when you're walking by the docks and construction sites, the woodsy charm goes away. I would do it again in the summer.

Beautiful sunny day but of course it’s slippery in spots. I had my ski poles for peace of mind

WalkingGreat!No shade

walked this trail some time ago with the dog and it's a beautiful walk. the only downside was it was super hot and we didn't think of that in regards to the poor pups feet. other than that, great walk along the water!

The actual “Turning Point Park Trail” as shown on Alltrails is a flat, paved trail. There is a spot early on, though, and another right after the boardwalk ends (to the left) where you can enter some woodsy paths. I’d heard there was a waterfall somewhere, but we didn’t make it to that. You will be able to get up close to the railroad tracks from one of them, which was beautiful. My bad ankle/knees didn’t love all the flat paved walking, but I’d do it again for the boardwalk (stunning views and my dog LOVES boardwalks) and the wooded parts.

Pretty. Flat. So flat. Parts are not shaded so it can get hot.

Bird watchingGreat!

I love this trail! It’s always super busy, but it doesn’t take away from the experience. Beautiful views, lots of wildlife, and relatively flat. Overall, I will continue to come to this trail.
