We loved this hike! Beautiful quartz at the top. I would recommend this hike for any skill level. Little muddy, but what’s a hike without some mud?

This trail was beautiful; markers lead way through the forest to Cairns interspersed with markers as you get closer to the rocky summit. Gorgeous views of Pharoah Lake great you at the top.

Great hike, awesome views at the top. Trail was muddy in some spots and there was lots of blowdown, the markers were hard to follow at different points. Took about 4 hours to complete, with a lengthy stay at the top.

Climbed it yesterday, snow covered a lot of the trail on the way up. Some slippery parts and a sheer rock was covered in ice which made it challenging in normal boots. The view from the top was amazing though, just have to follow the rock piles near the top and you'll see the red trail signs eventually. Overall a great hike, the markers were just a little confusing at the peak.

Pretty views at the summit of many area peaks. Woods walk, many bridges over water and a more open walk near the summit. Needed to work hard at times to follow the path and the first set of signs is misleading. Worth the hike!

This is 8+ miles!! Lots of ups and downs both way. A bit hard to follow in places. The view is partially blocked by trees too. Definitely won’t be doing again.

This was a great day hike that took about 4 hours hiking relatively fast (average pace of about 30 mins/mile). The bugs were terrible though — I have at least eight very itchy bites directly from doing this hike yesterday. Don’t do this without bug spray, and even with the bug spray, I was having to swat at bugs as they actively bit me. The summit was confusing, too, so pay close attention to the trail markers — we couldn’t figure out where the actual trail was for the final 1/10th a mile. Beautiful trail in great condition, and a great view at the top. I will likely be back in a season with less bugs! Happy hiking!

My three-star review is because Alltrails’ info is wrong in the description here, Putts Pond Road ends at the campground, so this is an eight-mile hike, not 4.5-mile hike. So plan accordingly. There are nice views of the Pharoah Lake Wilderness from the ledges on the way up. Trail is always wet in spots.

Very nice hike, extreme black flies made the conditions miserable. Would go back again, but not until the bugs are gone!

Great hike with a bunch of different interesting views from the summit! Snow was pretty packed down but things were starting to get mushy and muddy in spots. Super family friendly w a bunch of great camping opportunities as well!
