Decent trail for about 70% of the trail. The trail is not marked. If I was not holding my phone on the AllTrails route I would have gotten lost. Multiple cleared areas makes it difficult to find the trail. Not enough foot traffic to know where the trail is on the western side of the zoo and golf course.

Great place in the winter time to xcross or snow shoe. Moderate elevation with a few easy passes. Dry Hill downhill skiing and snow tubing is close by as well.

Took my dog here to get her out of the car during our long drive. It was a good park but never found a hike! Large green area to run, tennis courts, kids playgrounds, lots of other dogs, parking lot good pit stop place

We started at the north entrance close to the zoo parking lot. The trail starts out nice, moderate terrain through the woods. Some nice scenery and easily walked however, as the trail progressed, it became more and more overgrown. We had a jogger stroller and began to experience a harder and harder time the farther we went. As we got near the end, the trail became extremely narrow and overgrown and we encountered an impassible pile of debris, almost like a stick fence that kept us from going further. Unfortunately we had to turn back the way we came. Not fun!

Soooo, this trail offers a beautiful tour of the wooded area surrounding the Watertown Golf Club. There are multiple off-shooting trails which should satisfy your desire for exploration. There are tons of bugs so bug spray is a requirement. As of 12 JUL 17 there is an area to break through where the trail was intentionally blocked by dead trees. This drops you into an open area for about 300 meters or so. The original trail is blocked on the other side as well, skirt to the left of the dead trees and there is a trail that intersects with the original trail. Happy Trailing!

Was an ok outing until I got halfway around the loop and discovered someone has stacked a wall of brush six feet high across the trail. Had to turn around.

This was a good trail. A little hard to actually find the start of it which is located by the edge of the zoo near the cemente barricades. After a few minutes of searching it was found. It was a very maintained trail, a little narrow and not marked that well. I got turned around a few times but managed to find way just fine. It was only about 3.5 miles long even with some back tracking. There are several smaller trails that branch off the main one but they intertwind each other. Good way to kill an hour. Parts of the trail follow the golf course so if you take the wrong one you'll be on the course.

Very nice trail system. Good mix of tight winding single track and fast sweeping turns also has several bridges and log obstacles. Trail could use some maintenance but overall very fun.
