This is a portion of the North Country Trail / Finger Lakes Trail. This section is very quiet, and the number of hills crossed makes it a good training route for other difficult trails. It is also a convenient way to complete this segment of the NCT/FLT since the northernmost point is part of a figure 8 loop in Cuyler Hill State Forest. This trail should be avoided during hunting season.

Overall the path was clear, and dry. It was an out and back trail with good elevation changes. Would go again.

Not much to commend this trail aside from solitude, length, and elevation change, but there is plenty of all three to be had. Something different to do on a nice day when you know even the Morgan Hill trails are going to be swamped.
