A great day of hiking. Easy hike. Some great views but not much wildlife as it was a busy day with a lot of hikers. Trail is marked pretty good but still a few side trails to follow if not careful. I think this would be a better hike during the week or winter months as this park is very busy during summer weekends.

Definitely one of the best trails on the island. The views are great and a lot of the paths are narrow.

Can make this hike last as long as short as you would like it be. Plenty of wild life and birds to see along the way. Can get a beach walk and mountainous feel hike all In one

I really like this trail, its one of my favorite trails to run and hike on Sundays, every month and every season it looks different. I like the view on the Bluff trail that overlooks the LI Sound, every day the tide is different. I usually start from Sunken Meadow Rd, then go to the Bluff, then down to steel bridge, then out to peninsula, then along LI Sound beach then back up to woods and back. takes about 40-60 min depending on hike or run and animal and flower and views. Good Solitude toward evening at sunset.

Went out here a few weeks ago. Great views. It had everything I wanted. Some changes in elevation, beautiful scenery, and I felt safe. I think the hike was added by it being winter. If you feel like getting out and seeing an amazing sunset, check this out in winter time.

In my opinion one of the most beautiful parks on Long Island. There are many trails to take in the park. All trails are scenic. Trails are for beginners to novice. Park is best enjoyed in spring and the fall.

Fun trail to hike with gorgeous views of the Sound. A brackish creek and tidal pool beneath the bluffs gives the chance to see some interesting marine life. Horseshoe crabs, Hermit crabs, trout from the Nissequogue river, assorted fish from the sound, ospreys, snowy egrets, and cormorants all can be found in the area.

If you are not familiar with this area, trails are not easy to find at first. The numerous trails are all connected to each other so it makes for an interesting hike.. Overall experience was good and views of LI were beautiful. Well worth the journey.

This park has a numerous trails and hills to run or hike, you will find cross country runners here all the time, highlights include snake hill and the infamous "cardiac hill". You can run along the water and loop onto the Greenbelt trail also, you can log anything from 2.5-5 miles depending on your trail path choices, scenic, enjoyable to hike and challenging if running at a good pace.

Nice seaside hike. Nice bluffs & views of L.I. Sound. A few hills. Trout fishing in Nissequogue River. Family oriented. Can get overcrowded.
