Almost a totally covered trail with foliage, minus the scenic views overlooking the Hudson River, Cold Spring and the United States Military Academy. Most of the trail going up on the first two peaks is straight up, so be prepared. Last peak isn’t so bad with the s-turns up the mountain, but coming down on the southwest side of the peak takes a while. Lots of very large rocks to boulder, and many smaller ones that become either trip hazards or slippery. Good for hiking but not for trail running. There was one very large Northern Black Racer snake on trail, but they’re not poisonous. Two Words: BUG SPRAY
