Hiked this two weeks ago with my five year old. Fairly steep but short and plenty of interesting places to rest. Pretty view with water views. About a third of people bothering to wear masks when passing.

Nice hike. Pretty old growth pine forest. Nice views of Silver Lake, Taylor Pond, Catamount and distant views of Whiteface and Esther.

Great short hike. We have done it 2x. It’s straight up the mountain so know that. Awesome view from the top.

A lot of trees down, I had myself and my 25 pound dog with me, we did it in 45 mins, that is with a couple of breaks due to the steepness of the climb. Very beautiful views once at the top. I think I saw maybe 3 trail markers the entire time. So not very well marked, but just follow the trails and you’ll be good.

Quick easy trail. A little steep in one section. Views are good but there are better else where in the ADK. I saw a few kids , older adults and man with a baby on his back. So it is definitely a family friendly hike. Open rock summit for a little picnic

Did a sunset hike and it was amazing. Buggy at the bottom but once we were moving we were not bothered by them. Had a nice breeze toward the top. Amazing views at the summit and a lot cool spots to explore along the way and at the summit. Short but sweet. Took about 40 minutes up and about the same down (we were in the dark at that point).

We are up in the region for most of July and should not have started with this hike. It is quite a steady hill climb quite steep in areas and all of us could not make it to the top because you had to be comfortable with scaling larger harder to grip rocks to find balance. It's important to note that there was another rest point with a beautiful view on the way up so you can shorten this hike if you need to.

Bit of a tricky trail - little tough to get to the top and had to do a little climbing but if you’re down for a bit of a challenge this hike is for you! Make sure to pay attention - the trail can throw you off a little. Beautiful and always worth it when you get to the top! Amazing. I didn’t want to leave.

It is such a short beautiful hike. We hiked this on March 23rd, however that day there was an abrupt snowstorm.. during the winter it is not advisable to take your pup, the trail is pretty steep near the top. Today though, gorgeous sunset views. Hard, even though short but always worth it at the top. Cheers and be safe.

No clear markers, you just keep an eye on the trail. No snow, only a few muddy patches. It short but steep all the way, the view is great.

The ice has finally cleared from this trail completely!! Absolutely beautiful hike, it is a bit challenging, but well worth the view at the top. It is great for dogs, the rocks do make it a bit hard for them, but medium size dogs and larger will do great. There’s about 5 different view points through out the hike, of which you can see 3 different bodies of water and a bit of a 4th. I know three of the bodies of water are Taylor Pond, Silver Lake, and Union falls. I am not sure what the swamp farthest to the left is. Amazing hike and by far my favorite as it’s my “home mountain”.

Yesterday was my first time at the particular trail but my oh ny, cant believe its listed as EASY. Should definitely be listed as Moderate. There are points in the trail where u LITERALLY have to follow the footsteps or have GPS to know where ur going. Towards the APEX of the mountain there's slaso certain spots where u have to basically get on ur hands and knees to crawl up the sheer rock face. Now, don't get me wrong, its an excellent, and beautiful trail but it sure isn't EASY.
