Mostly flat, easy trail over the big and through the woods. And the end of the trail there's a steep decline which you can walk down a little bit to get a great view of Silver Lake. Great for dogs!
Wouldn’t expect anything less than wonderful on this pretty , serene , mildly fun ? Or is it fun and mild!?!? .... hike on top of marshland. Completed this one quite a few times over the years. Always exciting to see remnants of pitcher plants even in the end times of November. Bring your dog, but hide yo kids and hide yo wife . JK. Lol. Great times with Covid Times. Hike happy!
Lovely short, easy trail to a gorgeous overlook! Be sure to bring a face covering as the boardwalk is close quarters.
for someone who has not hiked in awhile, this was a great hike to start with. it went through a bog which was cool and eventually ascended into a wooden area. the incline wasn't steep. there is slightly a steeper incline before getting to the bluffs. it was great to take in the sights of silver lake and the mountain range. most people were respectful of wearing masks when passing one another which was nice. perfect weather! would recommend to any hiker, beginner or experienced.
