Fantastic trail! Variety of terrain, and very well maintained and marked. We did the 8 mile including caves and waterfall. Didn’t see too many people out there, it was nice and quiet. Will be back!

Absolutly loved this trail. Very well maintained, well marked and a lot of fun. Stairs were a bit icy, but it was freezing out. Will be back in the early spring!

The ice caves are awesome but it’s understandable that they close them in late November watch your step

Loved the ice caves trail ! Fantastic views even on a rainy afternoon! It is colder or the trail so do wear warm gloves. We did hear birds but didn’t see them! Good shoes are a must for this rocky trail. Once inside the ice caves there are lights that come on with motion & that was very welcome! The boulders are truly amazing & I would do it again & again! One thing to remember, the parking spots are limited & there is a ten dollar fee to park as well. There is a small visitor center with restrooms attached. It is clean & well maintained. Some of the trails are out for maintenance so do be watchful of that. We could not get over the massive amounts of wild blueberries on the ice trail. It is a wonder that they do not sell it!

We did this hike on a Sunday. We got to the parking lot around 11:30 and had to wait about 1/2 hour for a spot to open up. I’m glad we waited because the hike was worth it. The trail up to Sam’s Point was wide and mostly gravel. The ascent was easy and gradual. The views were stunning at the top! Pictures didn’t do the views justice. The trail down to the ice caves was rocky and steep but very doable. The rock formations were awesome. A little challenging but not bad. A trekking pole was helpful with transversing the rocky parts. It was very helpful that some of the caves had motion activated lights. There was so much to see around every turn. I suggest waterproof hiking boots to keep your feet warm and dry. Bring a lunch to enjoy while sitting on a boulder, admiring the view. I would definitely do this hike again!

One of my favorite hikes! The trail up to the summit is paved and easy to walk on. The summit is absolutely breath taking. The ice cave is so cool! Gets a little wet but nothing terrible. Every turn leads you to something new! Never a boring moment. Highly recommend this trail!

Really nice easy hike to bring my father-in-law on. Great views at Sam's point, ice caves were a bit of a scramble, but the out and back trail to get there was very wide, parts a little muddy.

Amazing trail, the views at Sam’s Point were breath taking & spectacular. The trail leading to the Ice Trail was a totally different view that I have never seen before. Beautiful shades of red along the way against the shrubs. The trail to the Ice Caves was AMAZING, and made this one of my all time favorite hikes. The trail was winding, rocky, ladders, boards and the spectacular vibrant yellow leaves made the forest come alive. Definitely pack a snack and hang out on a rock after the caves and enjoy the views. Totally recommend this trail.
