The beginning point for this hike is the campsite. The trail is extremely flat by Adirondack standards but offers a tranquil, charming, scenic walk through the Hammond Pond Wild Forrest. The Schroon River, which receives annual stocking of brown trout and brook trout, flows through the campground and closely hugs the onset of the trail.

This was a nice walk, several trees down across the trail, none that you could not navigate over or under. The ranger at Sharp Bridge said he was working his way up the trail to clear some of it and you could see he had been. The pond was nice, but the flow was the real prize. The wild flowers were amazing. Lady slippers, Jack in the Pulpit and Trillium, others as well, but I don’t know the names. The campground was nice too, very quiet and laid back. Was treated to a pretty spectacular thunderstorm the night I stayed.

A nice walk through the woods. Some cool wildlife and mushrooms. The Flow itself is pretty neat!
