Roosevelt Farm and Forest Trail is a 3.1 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Hyde Park, New York that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Always a beautiful walk no matter what the season is. Wide paved main trail with a few off shoot trails as well through the woods.
The main trail is paved and gravel covered, very easy to follow. The minor trails weren’t too hard to follow, it is January and no leaves makes the trail markers easy to find. I’m sure it would be difficult when the leaves are in. Beautiful wooded forest with small wetlands throughout.
Many off shoots of Red and Yellow trails. None marked ; had to backtrack or biwac back to main trails
The trails are nicely varied with some wide easy carriage trail and some more narrow footpaths. The trail markings are the biggest issue as they are faded in some places or just entirely missing. The central trails can get pretty busy on a nice day. Overall, there aren't impressive views or anything that really stands out, but it's a very nice local place for a quick afternoon hike.
Good easy trail but the furthest part of the loop was so overgrown that I couldn’t see a way to get through, a few other tours available though.
It’s a good hike...easy walk... not clearly marked. There are tons of small trails that shoot off and sometimes it’s easy to get off track. Still recommended though.
I rated the walk/hike a 4. It was a very nice walk/hike of about 3.3 miles through a beautiful forest. Part of the good rating was the sparcity of other walkers/hikers. The trail was a little buggy in several spots.
Good trail. A little hard to follow in some spots but overall a nice walk through the woods.
Lovely, easy, well-marked trails; the main trail (Farm Lane) is wide and well-maintained. The other trails are more "in the woods" and a bit narrower. Have been numerous times, and is not heavily trafficked. Usually has plenty of pretty little streams and ponds, which are perfect for dogs to splash in, but currently, everything is dried up.
Beautiful day. I’ve been waiting for this park to reopen. A few people. Great photos.
Farm Lane trail is a nice, easy trail with a few hills throughout. It's shaded and either paved or gravel trail. The trails off of farm Lane trail go through the woods. They are also easy and can have a few muddy bits and rocky bits. Mosquitos can be an issue with the creek nearby. One disappointment was that we wanted to walk all of the wooded trails off of the farm Lane trail. However, at a certain point, we would run into Posted private property signs and had to turn around.
Red and yellow trails are a bit muddy right now but great otherwise
