I have been up top 5 or 6 times. its all true, unmarked trail! Meanders through woods the you must walk away from lake or left facing the ledges. About 5 minutes you will see a bit of a trail going up. It's what I call a rock scramble. ok for dogs in reasonable shape. Fantastic view from 1st overlook southward. Rogers slide is truly wonderful... if you can find it. You continue along the to North. maybe 100 yards? look for any rock Cairns, they will mark where you need to go east through woods to find the slide. it's all a little grey but worth it. As for getting lost, I have come down 3 different ways but they all end up at bottom of ledge. Take a left, eventually pick up trail to campground. oh watch the pooches at the slide, no joke.
