HikingGreat!Snow

Absolutely gorgeous! Stunning views of the Hudson River and the forest. Trail is snow covered, but it is very compacted down, so easily walkable with good hiking boots.

WalkingGreat!

It’s more of a walk. You could probably even do the main loop with a jogging stroller. But the views of the Hudson are amazing. Lots of open space to let kids run. The far end has a stream with picturesque bridges. Really nice way to get outdoors with kids!

There’s plenty of cut throughs that loop around back on the trail so you can walk anywhere and small enough to not get lost.

Hiking

Depending on which way you take the trail, it is either moderate or easy. I found taking it clockwise made it moderate because you were going uphill on the inclines. If going counter clockwise it is rather easy because most inclines you are going down hill. Parking was easy on a Saturday morning, by the time I left it was packed.
