Great for trail running. 1.5 mi uphill, two other loops to take. Lovely trees. Bears here, just sing... Really pretty stream alongside first mile of trail. I'd call this easy or moderate, but that depends on fitness level. I like to run it...

Easy going former road to the Rochester estate.

Fairly gentle walk in the woods and a wide former road for the path. After the Boroughs Memorial (1.8 mi) the final half mile to the lean-to is extra nice with some interesting ruins. No views but shady in the hot summer and a nice open colorful forest in the fall. Good for a hike without the steep climb of most other Catskill trails.

Great hike! We went and it was neither a short nor a long hike. It is quite peaceful. It is not significantly steep.

Nice, easy going day hike though we didn't complete the loop. Good for dogs.
