Great day in late November! No gloves, no jacket! Good workout & one spectacular view!
This trail is closer to 11 miles from day/beach parking lot. With so many trails, following this path can get confusing. This hike felt like a maze with many unnecessary switchbacks and winding paths. The ridge is an endless series of ups and downs and feels like you are making little headway to the lake. Once you reach the lakes, the hike is far more beautiful and enjoyable. This was certainly a moderate hike that filled the purpose of getting some good miles in on a nice shaded path, but with few scenic outlooks and few changes in views and landscape, this seemed like a never ending path.
Nice trail but a little confusing at times. Even if you get off course you are on a different trail that will connect to another.
