Hiking

Cool trail! The rocks were really cool. Great views of the lake from up top, then also opportunities to get right near the water. We cut the hike short and just did the cliff trail and lake trail. Well maintained and well marked.

Beautiful trail! Rocky in places, requiring some scrambling up rocks, but not too strenuous. Very calm and peaceful early in the morning.

Hiking

if you don't think hiking should include scrambling over rocks do not do this trail. it is marked but the trail is very rough. You will have to do some rock climbing at some points. A nice challenge in 1.4 mile hike.

HikingGreat!Rocky

Trails were well marked! Would recommend if you’re looking to explore in addition to hiking. Lot of nice rock areas to sit down at and relax. The weather was also cooler! I got to explore some of the other branching trails and each have something nice to offer (serenity, good view, etc.) I would recommend wearing good hiking shoes because of how rocky it is.

Easy loop if you have children, with limited ups and downs. Great view of the pond and fun cliff trail.

Great hike! Not good if you can’t do uneven ground as there are lots of rocks and awkward spots to walk. Cool lake, wouldn’t swim in it but still beautiful to look at. Definitely a hidden gem outside Syracuse.

This trail is actually located at Clark Reservation State Park. It's my favorite local state park with tons of criss-crossing trails. Lots of stunning rock outcroppings.

This should be called Clarks Reservation State Park trail as that is where it is located. There is no trail around Jamesville Reservoir which is a couple of miles away. There is an admission fee to the park but is free after Labor Day.

Within Clark Reservation there's tons of hiking across multiple connecting trails (so you can loop back or extend the hike) ranging from woods to rock tables. Not too difficult, but fun enough to keep you interested. I believe there was a $3 parking fee.
