went there a few months ago and it is perfect for all seasons - although the views in the spring and especially the fall are the most breath taking! Very easy hike and is perfect for people just starting out or who might not be the biggest fans of hiking in general!

Awesome trail, many places to stop and take in the scenery. Awesome place to just go and watch the sunrise or sunset. loved it and will be back.

The name fits the trail, poetic and beautiful. Not a workout but a nice small hike for sure.

Always forget how nice this is

Bery nice evening walk. Most of which is not difficult at all. Lots roots on the trail on the east/ northeast end of the loop. Lots of bugs if the breeze isn’t blowing so bring some bug stuff. The views, especially in the later parts of the day can be incredible as well looking to the west. Spotted some deer and turkeys as well a plethora of birds.

no shade

A lovely easy hike, but be aware that there isn’t any shade for a large part of the trail - so if you also decide to attempt it on one of the hottest and sunniest days of the year, you might regret that decision on your way back to the parking lot. Otherwise, beautiful views of the rolling grassy hills and Hudson and very quiet! Feels like a little oasis.

Wouldn't really consider this a hike, but it's more like a nice walk that can be enjoyed by people of varying stages of fitness and health. can be muddy on days following rain, but otherwise a nice walk with scenic views.

good stroll to take, particularly if out and about with family of all ages. not a hike by any means... well travelled. take a seat on one of the many log benches.

One of my favorite trails. Beautiful views of mountains the river and Kingston bridge, gazebos, fields of grass and flowers, forest, bridges, Amtrak. Last time I was here I went by myself with my kids ages 4, 3 and 15 months and our dog. No stroller as it wouldn’t be able to get thru some of the paths in the wooded areas. We had a great time!

Love this trail. They were doing some construction on it when I visited but I hope to get back to finish it at some point.
