Had a great time on this trail. It’s in pretty bad shape for trail running or mountain biking but that works in you favor because not too many people want to do it. We had the whole day to ourselves which can be rare around Lake Placid. Good for dogs. Good if you want to take a picnic at pine pond. Expect some rugged trails with roots and rocks. Fat tire bikes would be great. Lots of mud so do it later in the season. It’s remote and lonely out and back so plan accordingly. Took my 11 yr old and two dogs with no problems.

great trail run. first mile is tough going uphill, then down a Rocky trail. but really not that great for mountain biking. nice for a trail run, except real soft when wet. really an old truck trail/ four wheeler trail. best way to pine pond on cross country skis is to take kiwassa trails onto and across Oseetah and over to pine pond trail
