No map at the base, but someone told me the red trail was great, and he was right. Went at noon at 41 degrees and no need for crampons. Could have used them coming back on the yellow trail though, since it’s a bit steeper than red .Highly recommend!

Nice easy hike with a rewarding destination at the lake. Not too busy. We started at 12.30pm. 3hrs relaxed pace and picnic break at lake.

Easy and long hike. Not challenging as it’s on a very gradual incline. Be careful in the winter as it gets very icy! Beautiful views up to and around lake.

Really beautiful! If you decide to hike here please bring a mask and where it when you pass people, and do not come too close to others without a mask. It’s a bit crowded.

HikingGreat!Rocky

Second time hiking there yesterday 11/18/20 went the week prior as well. 1st time 70 degrees and yesterday was 40 degrees. Traffic: Popular Trail / High Traffic — (my tip) went during the week in November and wasn’t too crowded. Weather will also play a role in traffic - yesterday 11/18/20 was sunny but 40 degrees and we found parking in the small lot. Parking: 100 Seven Lakes Dr Sloatsburg, NY 10974 United States - Small Lot w/ Info Center (must be lucky to get a spot there or really early) - Street parkings OK on the handle or other small lot in sight. Trail: Moderate Lv. - 5 ish miles (out and back) - Easy to follow and marked by Red Trail Marks with white outer square. - Somewhat steep at points - Rocky - Wet / Swampy in some areas *depending* - Cute man made bridges along the trail View: B/B+ - Great views of water (stream / river) on the trail. Tons of beautiful rocks and moss with a big lake at the end. Fun to explore around the lake before heading back.
