Pleasant, not a lot of views besides the lake. Note that parking is the sebago boat launch. Trail starts across the road. This route includes a fair amount of old roads.

This trail is not marked very well. Can get confusing where to go especially when you don’t have cell service to see where you are. There were lots of bugs and the loop back around the lake has lots of old rusted pipes which aren’t the easiest to get across. However, the lakes are quite awesome, extremely clear and pleasant to look at. Trail really isn’t hard at all with the exception of the the old pipes. Just some uphill, downhill with some rocks. Not the best for sight seeing, but a good hike overall.

Lake was nice and quiet. Follows a cross country skiing road for part. Pretty day.

Great trails and awesome views. The “loop” around Pine Meadows Lake is actually not a real trail. We spoke with a wonderful Ranger and she told us that half the “loop” is old logging roads that are really not meant for hiking. So we opted out of that and just returned on the red trail markers then caught the all trails mapped trail on the way back.

Great trail, had an excellent time. Spent about 4 hours in total and hiked about 8 miles worth. Lots of rocks and natural features to navigate around but not too difficult. It’s a great middle ground hike that won’t disappoint a seasoned hiker but won’t overly challenge a beginner either.

I only went half way around the lake and turned back. It was a hot day and it started to rain hard. Lake was beautiful and there was some decent terrain approaching both lakes from the trail head. Make sure you take a break for lunch or a snack/drink on the rocky hill just past the first lake on the trail.

Nice hike. If you add Diamond Mountain at the end of the hike as shown here, I'd upgrade it from "Easy" to "Moderate." We saw a lot of people here on a Saturday morning in late March. Several large groups and lots of other hikers with their dogs. Probably saw 30-40 people on the trail. The trail isn't fully marked on the south side of Pine Meadow lake. Take the Red-and-White trail to the White trail. At a certain point, the White trail turns left, and you need to continue on the unmarked trail, keeping the lake on your right, or else the White trail will lead you away from the lake toward edge of the mountain (where you'll find some nice vistas). When you see the old pipes situated on the stone wall, hike on top of the wall (it's easier than it looks) and follow it past the swamp until you rejoin the trail again.

Beautiful hike. It goes up and down a bit. We went with 4 kids and they loved it. It’s not exactly as easy as I expected. The first section is a bit steep and there was quite a bit of ice there today. The lakes are beautiful and totally worth the hike.

Awesome trail. Can get a bit tight at some points hiking around the lake. Perfect way to spend 3-4 hours. No too busy in the trail. Great swimming spots!!

Not a bad trail, hiked it with my 72-year-old dad and I would not call this an "easy" trail. The trail is choked with rocks that are easy to stumble over and the trail from the north side of the lake around back to the ski trail is narrow, runs along precarious ledges with old rusting pipes taking up most of the width. For someone much younger, it might be a very easy trail but for this 52-year old with dicey hips and my dad...we've hiked difficult trails in Utah that were less difficult than this. Still...a really nice walk in the woods.

Very nice and easy trail for any time of the year. Some up and down walking. Great for dogs. Lake is great for swimming: people and dogs. In summer the only turn off are ticks so be prepared for that.
