Highly recommend in the fall! Such beautiful colors and soft leaf carpet
Nice hike. The blowdown north of the campground made for some ducking and stepping over but relatively easy to keep an eye on the trail. Recommend doing that leg of the trail first. Pack some bug spray for the mosquitoes just in case.
Fun hike! The trails are well marked but there are a lot of blow downs around Bear Lake. A super fun day and surprisingly not buggy!
Nice trail with some really nice places to hike. North of the campground had a good amount of blowdown and was clearly less hiked. Several nice places to camp and a few leantos along the way.
The upper part of this loop up by bear pond gets kind of sketchy and hard to follow. I got to a part where there was a lot of blow down and water and couldn't find the trail for a bit. It dumps you out in the campground, and there is a bit of a road walk to get back to the parking area. Other than that this is a fun loop to do. I forgot to write this. Did this loop First week of August.
