great climb along the brook with many cascades. BUT the trail from the pond to the summit is not "easy" moderate at best. certainly worth the effort.

Nice hike. Steep only for the last 1/4 mile or so which does require a little scrambling. Multiple stream crossings, ponds and a great view at the open rock summit.

love the 13th lake area, brought our Akita with us and he loves being able to get a fresh drink the majority of the hike, you can get a great view of the high peaks from a distance but, it needs to be a clear day, was a little windy on top but, that's to be expected would highly recommend this hike, good little burn, and great payoff, recommend basil and wicks great burgers and the beer isn't bad either

This hike is beautiful; peeks of river, winding paths, but due to the steep/scrambling end; I would not call this an easy hike. Views at the top are incredible and worth it.

We did this trip several years ago. The last bit is difficult, but the top views are spectacular and well worth the effort.

The trail is well marked. The trail could use a little brushing back in spots, but it's not that tight. The segment to the summit is quite steep, but there are plenty of handholds and compared to other trails in the ADKs is not extreme. There is significant erosion so I would not attempt in rain--as of yesterday the muddy areas and stream crossings were fine. Bottom line--views were completely worth it as was cooling off in 13th lake at the conclusion.

The view from the summit was great. VERY steep at the end! The trail was overgrown in some spots.

It's a very long but easy nature walk at first. My group was unsure where the mountain we were climbing even was at first since the walk from the parking lot was so long. Get ready to cross a lot of streams and waterfalls on the way! The last three quarters of a mile were a challenge once we finally reached the mountain but the views were SUPER worth it at the peak. Beautiful Adirondack wilderness for miles.

This trail is just about 8 miles long from the trailhead to the summit. The view was nice but the rough terrain, narrow trail (constantly rubbing against brush), and sheer amount of bugs didn't make it worth it for me. Also the last .8 miles was the steepest I've ever done so I can't imagine why this trail is rated as 'easy'.

This is not an easy trail, unless you are just planning to go to the pond. The approach to the mountain is steep and rocky. My gps tracked the out and back to the mountaintop at 7.8 miles, not the 6.2 miles listed on this app. Nice views from the top, but there are numerous stream crossings so it can be more challenging after heavy rains.

An absolutely gorgeous hike with a little bit of everything. The hike from Siamese ponds to the summit is certainly more difficult than "easy" but SO worth it. It also seemed like it was more than 6.2 miles. I would recommend this hike to anyone. it was a great day!

Awesome trail!! Not the best marked but the trail was very well worn. Only really confused at 1 spot. Awesome views along the way as well.

Also- we had a hard time finding the trailhead. Map it using the directions from this app and you should be good.

Great trail. Roundtrip to the pond is 6.6 miles. To summit would be between 7 and 8. Mileage in app is a little off. 13th lake is beautiful. All postcard shots. The hike to the pond is fairly easy. Nice views of other mountains along the way as well as the summit. Pond is very scenic. It poured when we got to the pond so we opted out of summit. Great view of summit from pond.

Beautiful hike! First you walk along thirteenth lake which is so serene and quiet. Many areas to stop and swim. Lake is so clear without much seaweed. Than you turn right and keep walking straight past a wooden bridge to your left and follow the stream to peaked pond, also another clear and private water area than you can swim at and dip feet. Than its a short fairly steep incline to top with 3 lookout points. Definitely great for kids but can be a fairly long walk to mountain. The best part was swimming in thirteenth lake at end.

Hiked Memorial day 2016. 7am-2pm. Only saw two other hikers. Went for a swim at Peaked Mountain Pond. Very beautiful marsh land between the brook and the pond. PRIME campsite on the pond, with fire pits, great condition. Would do this again.

This was a great hike longer and more challenging than the easy rating implies. The first three miles consist of a fairly easy walk to the pond. After that it gets a bit more challenging for the last half mile up the mountain.
At the summit there are some great views, especially to the south east.

Went on this hike after two days of rain. We spent most of our time circumnavigating the flooding out trail. The trail crosses what would normally be a babbling brook but because of the rain was a raging river. We had to try several locations to find a safe spot to cross.
Because of time constraints we couldn't finish this hike and stopped about a mile short of the destination.
I would definitely do this hike again but I would wait for drier weather.

Harder than the easy label suggests. I would classify it as moderate, but awesome! The trail has a great variety and is a joy to hike.

This was a great hike on a beautiful fall day. We took our time because the trail was wet and muddy from rain the day before. We had planned on hiking to the summit but because of the rain the last bit was too much of a grade for our dogs to make it. They kept slipping and it just wasn't safe for them. Had we allowed them off the leash they would have made it. Definitely will do this trail again!

This is by far my favorite hike. It was an easy trail that followed the lake and then followed a creek which brought you to the pond. The climb to the top of the mountain from there was steep but short. There were some tough spots where you had to use your hands to climb but it was well worth the effort. It took 7.5 miles and 5 hours taking our time and stopping at the pond up and back. At the start there is a tree down and the trail disappears you just have to find your way around it. Sept of 2015
