Took the PCM trail up to the top where it connected with yellow, and took yellow back. Yellow has a decent amount of downed trees; a few looked fresh, others look like they’ve been down a while. The PCM trail is decently marked. There are several in trees or rocks that are very faded/chipped, so pay attention or use your map. Overall a great hike. Hope to do the whole PCM soon.

Definitely worth the hike, the beginning of the hike is slightly more of a challenge, but the rest of it has great scenery, easier to hike and the lake is a great place to stop for some lunch and a rest. The only downfall is the trail is very poorly marked and we went off trail several times even though we were keeping an eye out for the markers. Once you keep that in mind, it was a great hike and would recommend it

We hit up Parker’s Mt Cabin Trail on Sunday May 26th and it was a beautiful day for a hike! Super easy to get to by either taking the NJ transit train ($11) to Tuxedo NY station or an Uber ($45 from Manhattan/NJ). We decided to do about a 10 mile loop and it was worth it. The trail itself is market moderate and it’s pretty well marked although there are a few switchbacks that we got turned around but easily found our way back on the path. There was all different kinds of terrain which was cool and your typical streams and look out points. We took a few nice breaks at the top of Parker Mt and also when we got down to Lake Sebago (Go for a cold refreshing fresh water swim. Highly Recommend!!). We saw a bunch of turtles including that amazing snapping turtle (apparently it’s egg laying season per some other hikers we encountered). The trail was in good condition and it was not highly trafficked but we ran into some other hikers on the journey all which were very nice and saw about a dozen different camp sites. All in all great hike in Harriman State Park!

Pretty challenging long hike. Couple of points you got some nice views. Cool lake area and couple of spots it looks like you can camp out at as well. Noticed some campers left some garbage behind which was disappointing to see. Otherwise awesome, beautiful and peaceful trail.
