Short and steep! Fun and quick with a beautiful view of the changing leaves. Little bit slippery in spots.

The hike up was a good way to get the blood pumping first thing in the morning. The views at the summit down to the nearby lake with the mist rolling across the waters was gorgeous.

Fun, quick hike with our boys. It was a bit steep at times, but the view was worth the effort.

Super easy and quick hike (in comparison to the high peaks). Steep at points, but able to get up and down within the hour! Wasn’t too crowded on a weekday afternoon earlier this week.

We were able to make this round trip climb in 1:15 min of climbing time with a 3&5 year old. It was steep but fun!

Hiking

Uphill climb starts right from the beginning. For a non-avid hiker it was completely doable but we had to catch our breath a few times. Trails are well marked, paths are well traveled and summit had a beautiful view. Little kids would have a tough time, but saw plenty of couples with pets.

Hiking

This trail started out super steep... and kept getting steeper. My husband and I are beginner hikers, and while we completed it, we definitely had to stop a lot to catch our breath along the way. Not too buggy, the dog loved it (but she is only 36 pounds and 24 inches tall), and nicely shaded path. Trail was very well marked. It was a little weird having to cross a heavily trafficked road to get to the trailhead, but over all a good experience.

Great little mountain to hike when you've got an hour or two to kill. We broke it out to the summit, which has really nice views south over the western High Peaks and to the lower lands further west. Trail is easy to follow with trail markers placed well the whole way.
