Great for sightseeing. There's lots of history.
Hard to believe that all this beautiful real estate belonged to one family. More of a tour than a hike
Beautiful grounds. The mansion is marvelous with all the decor and history. The tour of the mansion took not even half an hour? As for the grounds, you'll be there for a good hour or so. Definitely go in the spring or summer when everything is blooming. Great place for a date or with the family!
Beautiful! Wow. Just lovely grounds. Ponds, big old trees, a gorgeous rose garden, an "allee" of trees. A mini-Versailles on Long Island. Fee in 2012 : $10/adult, $5 /child. Manor house. Huge old Beech trees. Worth the money to see it once. They have Holiday house tours, and also a Halloween display of Jack o Lanterns that looked neat. We went for the pet day- bring your dog in September. Check the website. I recommend 1-2 hours to walk around the grounds. Crowded when we went.
