Despite lots of cars, the area never felt congested, with lots of opportunities to enjoy the hilltop views. Some areas of mud, but not posing any hazards.

Great view of the Catskills! Beautifully maintained trails. Plenty of parking available. Bathrooms available. Plenty of space to socially distance. And it is free!

On weekends it is best to park near barn and cozy cottage. Be sure to walk lesser traveled crow hill trail-peaceful with nice view from the top.

Amazing even when wet and dreary. I highly recommend to find the geocaches around the property.

More of a walk than a hike unless you accidentally take a detour like we did. Very kid and dog friendly. Breathtaking views everywhere.

The trail was very easy but the views were absolutely spectacular. I found other trails behind the mansion and there were also great views of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. The foliage was gorgeous. Very peaceful place with done great history!

Wow the grounds for this mansion are just gorgeous! Beautiful views of the Hudson valley, lots of fall colors showing today. Easy flat paths winding up to the mansion. Not a real hike, but a great place to just go take in some views

Easy hike with little elevation. Fall colors are starting to show, about 40%. Ample parking and everyone respected sharing the trails and wore masks.

We took an easy nature walk at High Falls Conservation Area about 15 minutes away, and planned to go to lunch somewhere on the grounds of Olana State Historic Site. The view was grand from the top of mansion. Lots of little trails not sure which one these reviews are about, so I can’t review the actual trail. We walked many mowed trails to see the grounds, garden, read the history and learn more about our state..., could be a quick drive by or a couple hours depending what you want to make of it. Not very crowded at all.... large enough for people to spread out.

Beautiful hidden gems for everyone. Wheelchair accessible, flat grounds with slight inclines. Well maintained and offers something for everyone. A very inspirational site for those who appreciate views of mountains and architecture. You can decide to walk for 20’ or two hours. Perfect place to be alone or picnic with others! The trail itself loops around the castle with many scenic places to take photos. Decent over head shade and breezy areas. I will definitely come again for another adventure.

Beautiful property with great views of the Hudson and Rip Van Winkle bridge. The mansion itself is definitely unique, not many people and ample parking. Didn’t get to see the inside

Interesting history & architecture, beautiful views of the Hudson valley/river. Nice walk even on a cloudy windy day! I imagine this place gets crowded though on warmer days & in the fall with leaves changing. And oh — we saw 3 pileated woodpeckers from the road/parking lot. Keep an eye out!:)
