Beautiful path through the woods to Nuclear Lake. Nice vigorous hike - not overly challenging

Great views, beautiful lake, well marked trails. Moderate hike for sure but worth making the entire loop.

Spotted Bald Eagle as we approached the lake. Took off and flew across the lake MAJESTIC. Wouldn’t call it a difficult hike more like a hard walk but if you do the entire loop it’s good. Views are nice and plenty of ducks. I will go back for a shot at seeing the Eagle

Beautiful piece of the Appalachian Trail with loop around Nuclear Lake. Start from Rte.55 and follow white blazes of AT to the lake, then follow yellow trail to loop back.
