parking lot was closed as of 4/12. I rated 4 stars only bc a rating is required to be able to review that parking lot is closed.

Wonderful hike with beautiful ice formations. Need crampons as Trail gets icy. Stunning vistas throughout. Last rock climb is doable at the top we chose to bushwhack to the side of the main way up for better footing at the time. We did the loop after reaching North Point coming back down and heading to Newman’s Ledge to the campground. Highly recommend trail and well marked.

great hike. Elevation gain is generally super gradual, so never feels difficult. Best (and truly phenomenal) view is from North Point ledge, although it is fun to continue along the ridge to Stuppel. Only saw 2 other hikers. Not the best trail conditions with mud, water, snow, some easy to miss turns but markers are generally clear.

lots of good camping spots along the trail. Quite a rocky scramble to get up the north point ledge but once up there the views are gorgeous and totally worth it. My one comment is we got confused from the parking lot because the posted signs were confusing. But if you follow the map you’ll be fine. The trail starts out with yellow tags. (Yellow only, there is another one that is yellow and blue together) Would highly suggest going on to stopple point as it provided the best view of the trip in my opinion. Also if you like aircraft there is a small airplane along the trail not far past Stopple. Left over from a wreck many years ago.

Awesome hike! Trails were well maintained, plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view... Not great for young kids, much of the trail is either along a ledge, or quite steep. Plan ahead and bring a map, as some sections are not well marked!

Gorgeous! Started at 9:15 on a clear Sunday and had the parking lot and trail to myself until a passed a few backpackers hiking down. Definitely got busy after the turnaround and it got to be midday. Took me about 4 hours, including stops.

The trail is meh. But the views at north point are spectacular. Very wet, muddy. It was basically a hopscotch on rocks through a stream to the top.

This trail is beautiful especially after it rains. There are pop up waterfalls along the path.

Really nice trail, we did it to north point only. some rock scrambling but nothing crazy. We went with a dog and have to help him just once while going down. nice views.
