Easy bike ride; the trail is well maintained and one can stop for great icecream at Trailside Cafe.

Great bike trail if you are looking for car free riding. I would recommend biking from North to South, as there is a slight decent this direction. My wife and I biked 34 miles from Tarrytown to Brewster, then took the train back to the city afterwards. The train conditions are amazing, but we were disappointed by the lack of public facilities along the route. There are no water fountains, or public restrooms for the entire length of the trail (including both the North County Trail and Putnam Trail sections). Furthermore, the trail doesn't really go through that many towns, so it's important to bring plenty of water. There are a few gas station stops along the way, so refill you water bottles when you can.

I finally did the trail from Millwood to the end in Brewster. Took me 5 hours. I love this trail. It’s peaceful.

Biked starting at Mahopanc north to end of the RailTrail in Brewster, then back with detour along Middle Branch Reservoir on Maple Rd and via Route36 back to the RailTrail. Beautiful bicycle trip, easy, not to crowded, and only few intersections, so you can go fast and enjoy the views along reservoirs and through beautiful Indian Summer-coloured woods. Great fun!

Pretty awesome bike path, just watch out for intersections along the way and cross with caution.

Did 27 miles here this afternoon with my gravel grinder not knowing what to expect.. decent scenery and excellent bikeway conditions but hard to get into a rhythm as there are a good number of intersections along the way (every 0.5-3 miles). Good for a day where you're looking to take it easy or do some interval work.

My favorite bike trail in westchester. Beautifully maintained, varying difficulty, and little to no street riding.

Usually start in Millwood or a little further north. One of the nicest places to ride a bike. Very scenic and you must find your preferred spot to stop for a bite afterward

Easy to do bicycling on long fairly flat paved bike trail. Outstanding for beginners or kids looking for a change of pace

Very flat and very long. Perfect for cycling. Unfortunately at some parts its on the shoulder of the local highway (route 9 I believe) where the speed limit is at least 50. For me thats a huge minus. I was there during a spring morning/mid-day there were very few other people. . Saw about 10 people on a 4-hour walk. About 5 bicycles. About 4-5 people walking. And one guy who looks like he might live in the bushes somewhere along the trail.

This is a really nice Path. It's relatively flat and good for biking, running, skating or walking. There are plenty of areas for parking along the way to choose from.
