Normans Kill Preserve - West Trail is a 1.1 mile loop trail located near Delmar, New York that features a great forest setting. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This property is 30 acres in size. Mostly wooded with open fields along the creek. A "musical bridge" spans a small ravine. Over 1 mile of generally easy walking trails, with some steeper slopes. Not that there is no connection between the Normans Kill West and Normans Kill East parcels and thus their respective trails.

Nice morning walk ... but a couple places were VERY VERY muddy and not easily passible

I made this hike in February. The nearby highway is audible the whole time. Houses are visible throughout the hike.

Nice walk by normans kill, great place to walk dog. Be aware trail is divided in two halves and other entrance is posted at the trailhead.
