HikingGreat!

This was my first time through Avalanche Pass to Lake Colden it was a fun but long day hike. The Garmin measured out 17.4 miles some ups and downs the last mile is a typical high peak mile. A few lookout spots. Made for a great in and out day.

This was a lot of fun. We passed by both lakes with amazing views. We passed by the plane wreckage on the cold brook pass trail and a fun climb from there to Mount Marshall. We took the Herbert Brook Path down from the peak to Lake Colden because coming up had some very difficult parts and coming down that way was the safer way. I loved this hike for its “not so typical” views. There isnt much of a view from Marshall or along the way. But the lakes provide some good pictures.
