Mt. Arab is a short 0.7 mile scenic hike in the Adirondacks on a nice moderate trail. There is also a fire tower at the top that provides excellent views. Mt Arab has been a very popular and accessible hiking destination for generations because of the spectacular views from the fire tower. You can view Tupper Lake and Mount Morris to the southeast, the Adirondack High Peaks to the east, The Raquette River valley to the north, Horseshoe Lake Wild Forest to the southwest, and Mt Arab Lake and Eagle Crag Lake to the west. Nice easy 2mile RT hike that is great for the kids.

I love this mountain! My family and I climb it quite frequently. Last year we did all of the Tupper Triad and felt very accomplished. Beautiful hike all the way up!

Fairly easy hike, a little muddy closer to the summit. Has a few outlooks and benches to sit and relax. The 360 views from the tower were very beautiful, it was a little hazy. The was a steward at the top giving information about the tower and the area. While not crowded, it was busy on Sunday.

Nice hike. Fire tower is a must for the fantastic views. We made it up and down in about 90 minutes plus time at the top. Steep in sections but the trail is easy to navigate.

Easy to follow trail, well worth it. Went up in the dark, to view sunrise from the tower, beautiful views only took half hour to get up.

Make sure you climb the fire tower and also check out the rock outcropping just before the cabin/tower. (There are several short trails around the summit so be careful you don't miss both the rock and the fire tower).
