Moonbeams Preserve Trail is a 0.8 mile out and back trail located near Middletown, New York that features a river. The trail is good for all skill levels offers a number of activity options.
An Orange County Land Trust nature preserve that includes 150 acres of fields, forest and wetlands located at the base of the Shawangunk Ridge and bordering the Shawangunk Kill. Open to the public for hiking, birding and nature study. There is parking and a kiosk w/ maps of the preserves two trail systems. Trailhead is across the street from parking area.
Couldn't find a trail anywhere, grass was really tall.
Nice easy trail, no views really but the rail bed was cool to look at. Says no dogs but I took mine anyway didn't see another soul on the trail. Didn't get to do the blue trail bc I was on a time limit.
