Great little hike. Out and back to the quarry (2.0 mi RT) is perfect for the elementary school set.

Nature trips

Loved this easy hike. About 4.5 mi if you take all of the turnoffs. Clearly marked. Enjoyed the rose quartz, mica and feldspar quarry.

4 star trail with great care and attention to trails. At one intersection a mile or so in there were 14 people waiting to intersect trails. Credit to all trails for getting out the crowds

HikingGreat!Rocky

Really beautiful hike. I am coming off injury so I was only able to do a mile in total but I will definitely be coming back! ONLY "downsides" is with all the leaves on the ground it is hard to see the tree roots and rocks, and the path is very narrow in some spots. But one of my fave hikes so far!

Beautiful trail with lots of different terrain. Plenty of roots and rocks to cross, so watch your footing. There are some areas that are quite vigorous with steep, rocky uphill - on the red route. Well worth it, as the views are beautiful.

Wonderful in the autumn, still a lot of foot traffic. The river is nearly completely dry.

Well marked trails. Interesting side trips off the main trail; the Falls, the Quarry, and the Mianus River Gorge. The Quarry is particularly cool. The terrain was mixture of flat and rocky/roots- perfect mix of up and down. Dogs are NOT allowed and it’s well marked at beginning of preserve.

It was beautiful! Definitely too long to do with a 3 year old. The trail was so beautiful and there were signs. Beautiful little creeks also!

Nice trail, some of the one way signs are confusing, essentially an out and back.

Hiking

It was a very nice hike, not too many people on the trail. It’s not possible to follow the map provided here because they have designated which trails must be walked in which direction - covid I guess. But it’s pretty much impossible to get lost. There were no falls at the falls - not sure what’s going on there. The quarry was very cool with rose quartz and such. Only complaint is that the car next to me in the parking lot dinged up my new little car I got just two weeks ago. I’m a little heartbroken over that.

Nice hike. Rained all morning so the trail was slick and really muggy. Loved the babbling sounds at different points on the hike. The overlook point (8) was overgrown. Can’t wait to see the view in the fall. *open from 8:30 am to 5 pm*

This trail is incredibly beautiful, especially the parts by the river. It’s worth turning left at the “falls” part, while there weren’t really falls (it’s August) the opening to the gorge was very special — it looks like something from another continent. I did almost the full trail, quite slowly, and spent around 3 hours in total. It’s worth taking your time, the wildlife (birds especially) is amazing if you’re quiet enough.
