nice day to take a leisure walk with the dog. trail conditions today were very good except for a few muddy/swampy areas but no big deal just the same.no snow anywhere and the trails were pretty level walking. don't rely on trail markers, they are too few and far between. seems to be marked at all interconnecting paths though. best to follow the well-beaten path or use your navigation skills to get around. basically a nice walk in the woods with a few creeks here and there. there is a football, softball, baseball fields along the walking route also. beautiful day, great exercise! 21 April 2018.

Took a nice walk here this morning. Trails were in great shape and there were plenty of birds to keep me occupied. I even saw a bald eagle flying overhead. Too cool.

Plenty of migrating warblers in the woods today. A little mud hanging around.

Did a short birding loop today. Plenty of joggers and dog walkers enjoying the park. Black flies and mosquitos were noticeable.

Walked the loop trail this morning. Trail conditions weren't that bad. Snow covered with a little ice. Traction aids weren't required. I felt the stiff wind in the open areas, but walking in the hemlocks along the Indian Kill as especially nice.
