Rocky, fun terrain, not really that muddy for me. Trail is right by the water most of the time. Bugs didn’t bother me. Kept my dog on a leash and there were plenty of opportunities for her to play along the shoreline.

Beautiful views of the lake. Little elevation but lots of rocks, roots, and mud make this a moderate hike. Hiking boots and a walking stick were helpful. Theres a beach at the start that's open for swimming.

There are ample views of the lake and the surrounding forest is beautiful. As many reviewers have previously stated, it is thoroughly rocky, muddy, and rooty in some parts. I recommend hiking boots so you don’t twist an ankle. The trail is relatively flat with just a few minor elevation changes. Overall, it’s a good hike.

Nice walk with views of Grafton Lake. It was a quiet and isolated trail. Shady but full of roots the entire trail, so pay attention when walking!

Fun sunny trail around the pond/lake. Good way to get away from crowds for a minute! Super rocky terrain though—not for your beach flip flops!;)

I wouldn’t call this a hike, it’s a nice walk with a lot of rocks. It’s fun and good way to get exercise but you’re fine wearing sneakers! It’s beautiful and not too long. Good for dogs and families!

Little muddy but nothing too bad. Parks getting a bit crowded since it’s a nice day, so don’t forget a mark or stay 6ft apart (move off to the side of trail when passing if you don’t have a mask).

Nice loop around the lake. There were several spots with mud and small streams; however, the hike was still very do-able with waterproof footwear

Connected the yellow trail to the long pond trail. Nice hard packed snow for most of it. Needed micro spikes for a few slippery spots towards the tip of the pond. Beautiful day out!
