An absolute wonderful hike with great views. Super muddy though, would recommend waterproof boots

I'm not sure why this is rated as moderate because the trail is super easy. Very pretty regardless

Nice short, easy trail around pond. Beautiful large hemlock trees and wildflowers in marsh.

right across the visitor center and one of the trail entrances is Samuel Jenkins gristmill owner , who arrived in 1788 and built the mill in 1789. 5 other all in a mile of each were built in later years. if it wasn't for this felt mill the town of Rensselaerville NY wouldn't exisit (population 1,840). the trail is very easy and easy to follow. today we did both the Myosotis Lake Trail & Lincoln Pond Trail together and spent 5 hours exploring little side trails. what really cool about doing both trails together. you have both a great hike & outdoor activities you can do. making this hike kind of unique. a great falls to see (upper & lower Rensselaerville Falls), Myosotis Lake & Lincoln Pond, 2 dams, small visitor center, Kayaking/Canoeing rentals, swing at the Myosotis lake beach and picnicking. all this at different locations along your hike. life is good. :)
