Most was closed off at the time we went unfortunately, but the falls were beautiful.

A very easy walk. No technical hiking but great views and well curated with signs explaining the history and geology of the region. An absolute gem.

Good trail. Not well marked. Make sure you download the map, cell service is spotty at best

Wonderful east coast trail. This is where an AllTrails Pro membership really comes in handy. Download the map of the trail prior to arriving because cell service is intermittent. If you follow the trail via GPS, you won't be disappointed or get lost. We started at the lamp post at Inspiration Point and then followed the trail up the gorge and returned via the hemlocks. The views of the gorge are amazing (and crowded), while the return through the hemlocks is beautiful as well and we saw no one. At times you will be walking along a road, but it's all worth it. Letchworth is such an asset to NYS.

We loved the park and trails but we could not follow the path provided here. We ended up doing 1 starting from the inspiration point (towards upper falls) then 2, 2A, 3 and back to the inspiration point from the map that park gave us (picture added). Other than confusion regarding the paths, all the trails were gorgeous!

The gorge is always beautiful. The side trails were nice for extra milage and to get away from the crowds. I did end up on the road for a while, which was my only complaint.

Some of the trail isn’t well marked and had to use the map on this App at times. Walked along the road at one point to follow the map/app, but otherwise there were no visible markings on any trees etc. Definitely seems longer than advertised. Pretty dry with good scenery on part of the hike, woodsy once you cross over, but still beautiful.

We only did a portion of the trail, along the waterfalls. You can get close, and you can get wet! We had fun.

First to Review

WARNING- actually about a 6 mile hike. NOT 4.9 miles. Gorgeous view of the park. The only downside was that it was extremely busy and about a quarter of the whole hike is along a road.
