It’s a beautiful waterfall and fun stream to wander around. Wouldn’t call it a “hike” but a nicely kept walkway to take a walk and enjoy some fresh air. Came on a Friday at 930 when it was a little overcast and had the place to ourselves.

Such an amazing walk through the majestic woods at lake Minnewaska! The lake, falls, views... just breathtaking.

This one is the only one open for right now. Quick trail and easy. Beautiful waterfall

Great trail with beautiful views! Would rate this a hard hike instead of moderate, which is preferable anyways. One thing to note is that the portion of the trial with the white square marker is very different on the AllTrails app versus reality. We ended up very lost on a blue and yellow square trail, which was fun too but of questionable safety. Watch out!

Short quick hike. Waterfall was impressive for the time of year we went during, November. A bit crowded at times in case you have a puppy who loves to run around.

Excellent rewarding view from the end of the trail. Worth for easy walk!

Easy hike from the parking area down to Awosting Falls. In spring and early summer it can be pretty spectacular with lots of water going over. Somewhat less exciting after the dry months but still very beautiful. It pays to continue to follow the carriage road after the falls - lots of spots to pop out onto the rocks to watch the water flowing by.

Minnewaska is full of beautiful trails and Awosting Falls is a must see. $10 parking in a monitored lot. Easy hike, the falls are right at the start of the trail. The entire area around the falls is gorgeous. Way too many people taking selfies, but we were there on a Saturday so it was to be expected. Wandered around for a while then took the Sunset trail to a lovely view, and ended up at Lake Minnewaska. Super crowded but still very scenic.

Great hike, very nice views. Both the lake and waterfall are awesome but if you have to pick one do the waterfall. Clean and easy trail.

We went to the falls and then some. It's a shame it's just an in and out and that this trail does connect to a nearby one to loop it back. But always pretty in each season.

I was really excited to see Minnewaska State Park in winter, we parked near lower awosting parking lot and went to awosting falls which was frozen which was 10-15mins walk. I wanted to see the Minnewaska lake frozen very badly but we were not allowed :( they said that its treated for cross country skiing and only those who ski are allowed in those trails. The only other option was lake awosting which was approx 3miles one way unless you plan early you can make it back by 5pm closing hours.

After crossing 34-55 Main St) it soon seemed like the uphill would never end, lol. This was just enough to push us beyond our comfort zone!

I went right after the week we had temperatures that were below zero. The trail was a little icy but the frozen waterfall is quite the site.
