Nice trail up to the tower, typical of the area with lots of rocks and boulders on the trail. It is almost all uphill so be aware before starting. Great views from the top!

Did the east trail up and down. Nice cool September day. Only a bit of mud (it rained the night before), but boots are recommended if rainy. Trail is not well marked, but is easy to follow as it's well worn and wide.
Since this was after a frontal passage, the view from the fire tower was excellent!
A note on the parking...there were several cars parked on the road (the road with the houses) with a few spaces and shoulder parking, and the walk/driveway into the trail head is somewhat narrow, so we assumed that was the parking at the road. Nope, there was a whole lot at the end of the driveway (at the trail head) that was only half full. Everyone parked at the road could have fit!

The short route to the top is a fairly quick and enjoyable hike to one of the greatest bang for your buck hikes in all the Adirondacks! This is also a great way to at least get your feet wet in some relatively steep climbing if you desire to do some more challenging mountains. Awesome for dogs, kids, and people of all ages! Also great for snowshoeing!
