A winter wonderland! Visited Kaaterskill 8 days after Winter Storm Ezekial. The path on the trail is wide enough for 1 person to walk. Be prepared to step in pretty deep snow to allow other hikers to pass. The path is just a bit icy in some spots. Overall a great hike. Looking forward to seeing it in the Spring! Happy Trails!

A pleasant flat grade, but not well suited for biking and fast pace because of railroad ties left in the ground. But I was pleasantly surprised that a rail trail passes through woods to arrive near the top of a waterfall. The Kaaterskill Falls overlook has a great view but noisy crowds limited the enjoyment on a Saturday

Easy and peaceful walk, pretty flat. Continued on Kaaterskill falls trail to see the waterfall.

Overall we had a great time and was only able to record half of the trip, phone difficulties. Despite the trail being packed in certain areas but this I think was mainly due to it being a holiday weekend. The steep climbs were steep and the views were amazing. Overall trail was very manicured and staff when we got to park parts were very nice and friendly! Will definitely be coming back soon! (only real downfall was there was a drowning R.I.P.) Highly recommend this trail.

Good short rail trail for a walk with our dog. We had a guest with us, and the benefit was a visit to the falls overlook. The trail is easy but why did they leave the railroad ties in place? I don’t understand that. Otherwise, nice woodsy walk along part of the old Delaware-Ulster line.

Easy trail. Did this and continued on the Kaaterskill Falls and Inspiration Point. So beautiful.

The railroad ties are still embedded in the path. This is a great flat easy trail along an old railway the used to Bring visitors up to the Laurel House. What a wonderful place that would’ve been. Too bad it’s just a fading memory.
