Inwood Hill Park is a little piece of history in NYC. Filled with caves, valleys, ridges, forest and salt marsh, the park offers a hiking trail and the Hudson River Bike Trail. The park is one of the best places to spot a bald eagle in the City, after the Urban Park Rangers launched a bald eagle release project in the park in 2002. Great trail in NYC. A very nice lookout onto the Hudson. Hard to believe this is in NYC. Took the shorter blue trail, but will take red next time. Great rocks to climb for kids and lots of dogs on leash. Everyone respectful of distancing. Would recommend!

A true escape from the city and surprisingly quiet / removed from street noise. There’s quite a few more densely wooded unpaved paths! It’s beautiful both in the woods and by the water, at the marsh.

This is a paved park pathway, not a hiking trail. Why is it on AllTrails? It’s a gorgeous park. The prettiest in NYC if you ask me, but it’s not a hiking trail. It’s a city park.

We walked the red trail with our class. The overlook was very nice. Very easy hike for beginners. Took about an hour. Trail markers, so our kids could practice. Next time we will do the blue trail.

The map on the app isn't accurate. There is alot of small side trails that branch off the bigger ones. It is small enough though that you wont get lost.
