Description

A beautiful hike for dogs and small children. No trail markers, although easy to get around. Water all around, small waterfall with a foot bridge. Red trail provides a path along the Indian Kill (Kill is Old Dutch for stream). Yellow trail provides a higher elevation route. The Red trail requires a stream crossing at the second waterfall which is barely possible with high water. Overall, an enjoyably short hike! Watch out for unmarked trails - it is not recommended to travel them.

super pretty hike with views of rushing rapids - could not do entire section as the kill was too fast and deep. very popular with dog walkers- not always leashed.

Walking

Well maintained trails, muddy and slick in hilly sections. Wear appropriate footwear. Brought our small dogs and they handled it fine.

It is a nice and beautiful walk. It would be muddy if there was rain. So be prepared.

Be prepared to climb over logs and fallen trees blocking the path. Hiking boots recommended. Muddy in some spots, and you will need to cross the stream if you want to complete the red trail. Check for ticks after hiking, I pulled a few off my dog.

A little muddy. Wasn’t able to cross stream on red trail today because the water was too high. Marked fairly well with colored markers on trees.

Great trail. Not an easy walk in the park, but just enough to keep it interesting. We lost our way a bit but it was a fun trail.
