Great fun trail, chain this hike with verkeerderkill falls as an out and back, park gate does not open until 9AM and pay a $10 park fee. Bathroom get crowded so to get there by 8:40AM. deduct 1 star for the crazy crowd.

Hiked this today, 6/15/19 and it was perfect. No mud, no bugs, some rocky steps getting down and up from caves, but that’s to be expected. Very cool to see ice in June. Took a 10 year old and 4 year old, both made it no problem. They do hike often.

Fun hike... Great views... Took the dogs... Ice cave is a bit tough for small dogs... Bathrooms are so clean... So I get the fees because everything is well kept.. Ice Caves are Cold, could see my breath which is cool ! Also in the really dark areas , there are Lights! Definitely will do again!

First warm day if the season so it was a bit hot with not too much shade, but still a great hike. We headed left in the Loop Road and veered off to Indian Rock first. Very narrow, in and out trail but beautiful views! After getting back to the Loop Road, and working up a sweat, we head to the Ice Caves... gloriously cold walking through them! Sam's Point is such a beautiful park!

$10 parking fee and too crowded.

AMAZING HIKE! Trail has a little bit of everything. Caves were fun ... waterfall and views beautiful. It ended up being beautiful weather ... sunblock is a must! This hike ended up being 10 miles with the caves included!

Very nice and family friendly hike, ice cave is closed spring time because needs time to thaw out from the winter.

One of my favorite hikes! Beautiful scenery not terribly hard. Be aware that you can not drive up to the cave trail head you have to hike up to it so it’s more like 3 miles

Ice caves and sams point are really cool. Up to the point is easy, the trail down and back into the caves is fairly rocky and steep but was worth it for the break from the heat. Worth noting you can't drive to the ice caves trail head so you are really doing a 3ish mile 2 hour hike.

Not a bad place to start for beginner hikers who want a challenge. The views are great in the end. I went here today, end of summer, and the path was easy, clean and quick. Dog-friendly. Trail-runners-friendly.

Nice to do the loop trail 2.5 miles and ice cave .5 miles. Nice cool spot though no snow or ice ( it is August). Saw immature eagle, bobcat and water snake at lake. Was my wife and 2 girls (14 & 9). Wild blue and huckleberry everywhere.

This was a fun area to hike. Cave temperatures are nice and cool, so it was nice to get out of the heat when I was there. Was told there is Ice on the trail 9 months of the year, but it was all dry when I was there in August. There are some sections that are narrow, but overall not that difficult of a trail. There is a section where you are above ground and walking near open pits/crevices which could be pretty dangerous if you are not careful, but its one of my favorite trails yet.
