Nice hike. The blueberry field is huge. Some nice views. Doing the broader loop a bit more interesting than the out and back.
Great hike that's easy and accessible but feels more like a "real" hike than just a stroll in the park. Climb is well-graded and enjoyable. Trail always in great shape. Good views at the summit, if you keep going just past the summit you can cross over into Massachusetts! Love this one!
Relatively easy hike - a couple of short steep sections but not bad. We hike the trail up and loop around to take the road down. Summit is nice! On a clear day you can see the Catskills and in August there are blueberries and blackberries right on the summit and trail. We’ve seen lots of wildlife including bear and coyotes. There is a nice stream on the way up for dogs to cool off in. Generally not crowded, especially during the week.
Wonderful trail. No rocks, no roots. Challenging, but not exhausting. Beautiful scenery. A great walk in the woods
Well maintained and marked, although the trailhead itself is difficult to see, across the road and to the left from the small parking area. Half of the trail in is a steady, challenging incline, and pretty muddy after a good rain, making the decline out tricky.
This was so fantastic! Kind of the *perfect* short hike. The bench near the top has such a gorgeous view.
